2.1 ct. Natural Unheated/Untreated Burmese Star Ruby Cabochon Gemstone set in Brass Holder Ring for Display

This is a gorgeous, extremely sharp Star Ruby from the mines located in the Mogok region of Central Myanmar (Burma), a location that produces the world's best rubies. This stone is just shy of 2.1 carats making it a valuable investment sure to appreciate in value in the years to come. 

This Ruby would normally sell for many thousands of dollars due to the translucency and extremely sharp star however, there is a small gouge or pit in the surface of the stone. This imperfection results in a very high quality stone being made much more affordable.

This stone is also unique for the fact that In certain lighting the stone shows a clear translucent pink color.

In other lighting conditions however, the stone shows its inside with a an extremely sharp six ray star asterism.

Truly an inspiring piece that shows just how complex mother nature can be, this is considered a fine ruby due to its clarity and sharp star.

This Star Ruby is from old stock brought into Thailand from Burma 30 years ago through Hmong Hill Tribe trade routes that have existed for hundreds of years.

This stone displays a nice 6 ray star when shown in transmitted light. It is set in a brass ring holder that allows the gem to be worn and displayed until a more durable gold or silver ring can be made for it.

Star Rubies are beautiful gemstones that display a six-ray star that seems to glide magically across the surface of the gem when the latter is moved.
