Lavender Jadeite is a very rare color in jadeite jade due to the fact that it needs the trace elements of vanadium and manganese to produce the violet, purple-lavender color in the crystal structure of the jadeite that makes it lavender in color. Vanadium is considered extremely rare in the areas of Burma where Jadeite is found and for it to naturally exist, in sufficient quantities to produce the lavender color is one of the reasons this color is just so rare to find in any real saturation or quantity.
